Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Assistom application and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

2. The Service

Assistom provides real-time transcription and AI-generated suggestions during calls and meetings. Suggestions are generated by automated systems and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. You are solely responsible for what you say and do, and for verifying any information before relying on it.

3. Acceptable use and your responsibilities

You agree to use the Service lawfully and honestly. In particular, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with:

• All laws governing the recording of conversations, including any requirement to notify or obtain consent from other participants;
• The rules, honor codes, and terms of any interview, examination, employer, platform, or institution you participate in;
• Applicable intellectual-property and confidentiality obligations.

You may not use the Service to break the law, to harass others, to misrepresent your identity in a way that causes harm, or in any setting where its use is prohibited. You are responsible for determining whether your use is permitted in your context. We provide the tool; how you use it is your responsibility.

4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

The Service offers a limited free trial (currently one session) followed by a paid subscription of $100 USD per month. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change on prospective notice.

5. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the application for your personal or internal use. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service except as permitted by law.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Assistom and its licensors. Content you provide (such as uploaded files) remains yours; you grant us a license to process it solely to provide the Service.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, undetectable in all environments, or that suggestions will be correct or lead to any particular outcome.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Assistom will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, opportunities, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Assistom from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a manner that creates risk or legal exposure. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes take effect when we post the updated Terms and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
